"A New Look"
“Five Guys Who Look Good In Hats” has finally made it to the small screen. Yes, that’s right … Billy & the Rockets have a series
of great new videos currently posted on “YouTube.” The master video was shot by our friends at WCAT community access television studios in Woodburn at
the public library's summer series, "Tuesday Concerts in the Park,"
then edited and cleaned up by Evan Thomas at YG Media and posted on the internet. Please feel free to enjoy these as often
as you like, in fact, the more you click on our videos the higher they will be rated on You Tube … so please, tell your friends and click away!
Here's just a quick sample
"In The Studio!"
With two successful CDs under our belt, “Blast Off” with Billy & the Rockets
(2009) and “Movin’ To Outer Space” (2010), plus our special Christmas collection, “Christmas Greetings” (2010) the “Rockets” have once
again returned to the studio to record a fourth CD. This time around the collection will include several original rockabilly tunes written
by Billy just for this album. Look for country flavored songs like “Donita,” and “I’m In Love”;
rock out with “The Check-Out Girl,” and “Rockabilly Woody”; and get close with the soft ballad
“You’re Everything To Me.” There’ll be something for everybody on the “Rockets” new CD, scheduled for release early this summer!
"Welcome Jack Dawes!"
Our dear friend and original drummer, Warren “The Animal” Parrish, became seriously ill last spring. In order to continue,
the Rockets had to find a replacement, and a perfect fit was found in “Smilin’” Jack Dawes. As a working drummer with experience
in traditional jazz and big band sounds, Jack brings great versatility to the Rockets sound. Jack’s inclusion has allowed Warren
to concentrate on his first love, singing back-up and lead vocals, and playing a box full of percussion instruments.
When you hear Jack, you’ll know we made the right choice!
"Oregon Festivals & Events Conference"
On February 28th, 2010, Billy and Dave traveled to Bend to attend
the Oregon Festival and Events Conference. The Rockets joined the OFE in January, just in time to get in on the annual
conference where they met with festival and events producers and organizers from all over the state. All types of events
are represented from small winery tasting parties to county fairs and community festivals. There’s nothing definite as of
this writing, but look for the Rockets at the Oregon State Fair, and at your favorite Oregon event this summer.
We’ll try to keep you posted!

unless you actually get up off the couch and participate! You might ask why in the world are
we doing this? ... Well, "The Rockets" feel that dancing is good for your health, and the music
will inspire you to greatness! So, have a look at our next appearances coming up
at our Schedule page.
